Thankfully the summer slump is over and we are starting to get some good games again. Problem is they always come out at the same time! Now as understanding as my family is I would have to do some degrading deeds for the Mrs. to get them all. So choose wisely, get them all (bastard!), get a few, whatever you do you’ll get some quality game time with these titles:

No more flying solo

For a welcome change in the gaming industry Fable II’s patch for the online co-op actually was available when you popped in the disk on day one. Awesome. The bad thing is when playing with a bud you are cast as a generic character. You still get all the cash and experience, but can’t wear armor or clothes.

One other impressive feature is the fact that other players are in your world represented by orbs with their gamertags. You can trade and talk to these players but have no impact on your world. Neat.

Things were looking a little gloomy when word starting going around that the co-op wouldn’t be on the disk but Lionhead came through and proved themselves bigtime, now lets hope the game live up to the hype.

Real Gangsters Don’t Play By The Rules

Warning: cheats disable achievements!!!

Go to your phone and dial in the cheats, the cheats menu is in the phone to activate/deactive the cheats.

So since we love you guys so much over at the sack here are the pre order vehicle codes for Saints Row 2:

Hit start to go to your cell phone and enter these codes at the dial menu:

#4976 - Gyro-Daddy
#728237 - UFO
#7266837 - PeeWee Bike

Then go to the cheats menu from the phone and select your ride, the PeeWee will be available from any garage while the aircraft require roof access which you get when you get your first gang hangout (2 or 3 main story missions).

Tomorrow Saint’s Row 2 is released and the boys over at Rockstar better get their act together with that GTA IV DLC or risk losing some fan base. I mean lets just be honest about GTA IV. I loved it for it’s pedigree but felt they could have done so much more with it. Now for those of you paying attention to all of the SR2 vids and hype you know that there are a ton of activities, territories, vehicles, and weapons to complete, unlock, and destroy. This baby might not look as realistic as GTA IV or have a serious undertone, but sometimes you need good old cartoony violence to bring that smile to your face.

Microsoft has just announced that the New Xbox Experience will release worldwide on November 19. 2008. The update will be free and include many new features. The worldwide release will launch in 26 countries and 11 different languages. For more details please check out our previous post found here which has all the details and info your looking for. This is an official date and has been confirmed by MS. So game on people this is just icing on the cake as this may be the greatest year for video game releases to date.

Here’s the COMPLETE list of Unlock codes for Lego Batman (All systems)

These can be used in the single player (and Free Play) and it will not affect achievements.
So you can turn these on from the pause menu and easily get most the achievements.

NOTE: The Unbreakable Achievement cannot be gained while these codes are turned on, so make sure they are off.
To get this simply play level 1-1 in Arkham for the easy unbreakable achievement it’s very short and easy.

Some Crappy Tidbits of Info

What a great Friday it’s going to be. I can feel it. But what’s life not without lemons? No one is making lemonade, instead they are sucking those bad boys inside out! Starting out with this wonderful news, overly anticipated Fable 2 will not ship with online co-op at launch. There will be local co-op for those of you stuck in 1999. I mean haven’t they got this whole in-ter-nets thing figured out yet? Some speculate that it’s due to the expected influx of gamers using bandwidth this holiday season. Laymens terms; expect to have Live down like last year’s COD4 mess. The co-op will hopefully make a glorious return with a patch (possible released before you beat the game).
